Quiz Night 2021.

Who was the Russian chemist that created the periodic table that classifies the chemical elements? Who is the person in this picture?  What does "QR" stand for in QR code? What country has Kiev as its capital? Name the movie that originally used this tune? Who was the second person to walk on the moon? Oh, I am sure I know that ….BUT, can I think of it!

Several sets of differing questions really set many of us thinking. Another wonderful quiz night with great mix of subjects ranging from Sport, History, Music, Geography and of course ‘mixed bag’. As the night progressed the possible winning tables emerged but we all had fun and it was great to get together again socially post-lock down.

The  coin tossing competition during the break had us all joining in the fun.

 And the winning table:

Table 4: Congratulations to Harvey Broadbent and his team - well done!

All funds raised supported our Projects both locally and internationally. They included Lifeline NB, Dalwood Spilstead, Bear Cottage, Arranounbai school, Street Work, Rotary youth projects to name a few. Over $4,000 was raised.

Paul, Roger and Michael doing the tally.

A most enjoyable, entertaining, and fun night - we all appreciate the time and effort David, Sally and Moira have put into making Summer Quiz such a great success!

And thank you to all the Rotarians and friends who attended and supported Balgowlah Rotary – the result is truly magnificent and will go to help our deserving charities – especially with the increased demand being placed on them due to Covid.
