Our First Car Rally - Cars n' Clues
Our first Car and Clues Rally
A dedicated team of volunteers braved the rain and wind at Seaforth Oval.
Forty five (45) cars with willing drivers and passengers participated in what turned out to be a fun day despite the adverse weather. All eagerly selected their clues and set off on a driving adventure around roads and points of interest on the Northern Peninsular.
Nothing says more than an endorsement - here is a a selection of comments from happy participants

Clues were good, kids has fun! Even on a rainy day it was nice to discover new places in our area. Thankyou! The Feral Berrills
Rally was great and showed us a few places we would like to go back and explore in more detail & in better weather!! Only thing we would suggest for improvement is to include in your promotional material is that it will take place rain, hail or shine so it removes any doubt. Frankie Green
What a great event today, so well organised and successful. As Di Hart said to us on the way home - you even arranged the weather so that there was plenty of parking at each "clue. It was especially pleasing to see so many non-members taking part - as that gives the club more visibility in the community and hopefully interest potential members as well.
Thanks so much - it was great fun as well Roger Gray
Yes absolutely – great effort by the fundraising team and assistants – the camaraderie along the route with the various teams was really enjoyable with a large mix of ages being involved. Where can I pick up my winner’s prize???????? Rick van Brugge
Congratulations to all entrants and making the most of a wet Sunday and having fun .

And of course the Limericks- here are a few:
Sample of Cars’n Clues Road Rally Limericks
1. There once was a driver called Bill
Who caused a lot of roadkill
The roos would run
when they saw him come
so they didn't end up on the grill.
2. There once was a driver called Bill
Whose petrol tank he couldn't fill
He drove to North Head
Where his engine went dead
I believe he is sitting there still.
3. There once was a driver called Bill
Who always aimed for the thrill
But his latest "cool" antic
Left everyone frantic
Proving Bill was a bit of a dill !!
4. There once was a driver called Bill
Who didn't like to stay home and chill
He entered a rally
With his Rotary friend, Sally
And felt overwhelmed with goodwill!
5. There once was a driver called Bill
Who hated car rallys until
Rotary Club came along
His heart filled with song
Now Cars n Clues he plays still.
