Recognition of our support

Image
Two of or charities sent us some mail recently -yes some people do still post things,   A very elegant plaque from Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation: A certificate was also enclosed:           The other item was a postcard from St Judes - the school in Tanzania.   The support we give to charities is always more gratifying when it it is warmly and sincerely acknowledged - to most of us helps to make our efforts so worthwhile.   We are holding a meeting on Sponsors on Tuesday Feb 20th and their acknowledgement should be part of the discussion. Best regards, Michael.

Welcome to 2024. We hope you enjoyed the holidays and wish you all the best for the new year ahead.   Tuesday, Jan 16, 2024 The club kicked off 2024 with our BBQ at Seaforth Park     The weather gods were kind after a very wet start to the week and many of the team gathered and enjoyed a delightful sausage sizzle and wagyu burger together with catching up with fellows. The stick Roger is holding is a sausage burglar protector - the swooping kookaburras did still get feed.           --ooOOoo-- Our next meeting: A club assembly to discuss important planning issues for the remainder of this Rotary year and into the next. Rotary Christmas Party 2023 On December 5, 2023, we held our Christmas Party in the Wine Room at Balgowlah RSL. Rotarians, partners together with some members of our charity organisations attended the informal gathering and enjoyed the very nice 2 course Christmas buffet meal.   After welcoming all who attended, President Roger Gray said some Rotarians could not attend for various reasons including illness or travels and sent messages of good wishes to all. He then asked PP Sue Terry to introduce Kerry Gwynne, Manager Dalwood Splistead Service who is well known to us all for the amazing work she does assisting vulnerable families who are experiencing stress and challenges in the care and parenting (including areas of health, education & welfare) of children under 9 years of age.     Kerry explained how the toys and presents donated by the club members will be added to Kerry’s purchases for the Spilstead annual Christmas Party.   Well done to
